Newborn Session - Sophia

Hello all,

Sharing some photos from one of my recent baby sessions with the beautiful baby Sophia. Sophia was only three weeks and one day old on this day. That day was a lot of fun, very hot but baby Sophia loved the warmth! Mommy and Daddy did a great job. Enjoy!

I love the wooden blocks, S.M.C. are Sophia's initials - cute.

All the little cute baby parts...

"Amor" is Spanish for "Love"...

Sohia was about to fall asleep in the shot, she was very still for this picture.

And she fell asleep...perfect!

Sleeping, warm and beautiful...

Oops... she's awake now.

The End...

CupCakes - a pastry photo session

I have to say, these desserts were fun to work with. They followed directions really well, I was able to pose them any which way and best of all they didn't complain once through the entire photo session! What fun!? ;-) Enjoy, hope it makes you just a little hungry for a nice sweet treat.

Modeling - Fox Photo Session

Yesterday was wonderful day, what a great photo-shoot! My friend Stephanie and I worked together and put on a shot with a few models. We brought together a hair stylist, makeup artist and put together a fun filled day of shooting!

We started off in Pomona, CA near the Fox Theater with two of our lovely models - Marlene and Megan (or as I now call them M&M). Followed by a studio session with M&M as well as Scarlet and AJ. We started off with the girls hair and makeup being a little girl next door-ish and moved into bad girl next door.

Hair: Richie Carreon
Makeup: Britney (Bonee Ohnee) Alvardo

Here are a few of my favorite photos, enjoy:

One of my favorites from the shoot:

This alley was fun to shot in we had an audience, there was a nursing school near by and some of the girls were peaking through their back door.

Just lovely!

Megan in her throw back hair-updo (sha-na-na!) - although this was later in the shoot, this is my favorite of Megan and wanted to put it first. Richie and Britney did a great job on her look.

Here we are in the alley, were we started the soot, just an eye pleasing photo.

We brought out the off camera flash for this shoot. I wanted to bring out the model and 'pop' her out of the background.

I'll update this post with pictures of Scarlet and AJ, but for now I have to go!

Newborn Sessions

Happy Friday everyone!

My wife has been reminding me to post some of my newborn sessions for the longest time now. I have been, for one reason or another putting it off. Today my son and I met a very lovely expecting mother at the park and it just made me act! So, here are just a few newborn sessions, albeit they are old sessions, but nonetheless more than needed on my blog.

One of my favorite subjects to shoot are newborns. Yes they are challenging, and yes they cry and poop on you but the images bring such great joy to both mom and dad. And seeing that joy in mom and dad is a great feeling. It takes me back to when my two rug rats were so small I could hold them in one hand, they were so tiny back then.

Anyhow, on with the show!

All these children were a pleasure to work with. Mom's and Dad's were in most cases very apprehensive about posing baby this way or that way; but having had two of my own and working with many infants in the past, there's nothing to worry about... ;-) Infants can be posed in virtually any position so long as their tummy's are full and mom is near by. Enjoy!

This is baby Jonathan, this picture was eventually used as the baby announcement. Dad is presenting baby to the world.

There were too many images to choose from, so we made this collage so a lot more could be enjoyed.

Baby Tiana - now this baby girl could sleep! I don't believe she woke up once during the session. Not even when we removed her clothing for this shot actually.

Little angel in the clouds, beautiful!

This is baby Chole, we had two sessions with her. The first one was challenging and even thought mom and dad were happy with those results, I felt we could get those 'aw' pictures. And here they are, during the second session everyone was much more comfortable and it helped us get these images:

See you very soon!
